i'm gonna fail school!!! failing never seemed like such a likely possibility, ever, in my entire life. and most times, i don't know if my fears are exaggerated or reflectively realistic. i have no handle on reality! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhahahahahahhhhhhaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! it's official. i've gone insane. it's strange how a matter of hours or minutes can make your outlook on a single, unchanged situation. like failing school. sometimes i think "11 exams - take it one at a time and just do what you have to do. the worst that could happen - supplementals" and then one minute later i think "11 exams - WHAT KARMIC WRATH HAS DESCENDED UPON ME!!!! OH WOE IS ME YOU CRUEL CRUEL WORLD!!!! WAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!". why'd they have to make a dental surgery degree so difficult to obtain, huh? who knows. ;p
as you know, my brother, who isn't even done school yet (or in possession of a single university degree)(but he's a smartie pants) is on a professional experience year immediately after graduating. aside from a respectable income, he's planning on taking rock guitar lessons from the conservatory downtown, because the company he's working for is located somewhere near bloor and spadina. what a lucky kid - it's my dream to go back and finish up my AR and pick up some more violin - and even take an orchestration class or pedagogy...but i fear that the only music facility around here is the local Walter's music at masonville. for those of you planning on making your kids multi-talented play-every-sport-play-every-instrument-freaks- great instruction is absolutely essential. and piano is the key to everything. but if you are truly an altruistic person, you will sign up your little ones for the triangle or the trombone or the erhu, or some other over-looked instrument, because otherwise we won't have full orchestras, and only many pianists. okay?
i don't know what i'm saying. i'm exhausted. i was running on empty low despite a high-protein breakfast, and now i have an amalgam headache. i wonder why piano teachers aren't filthy rich. teachers charge upwards of 50 dollars an hour (if you're an ARCT student at the conservatory, you can't really have instruction for less than 70 bucks an hour). well, i guess not all charge that much. how much did i charge during my short stint as a teacher....hmmm, like $12.99 a year (sigh price of a CD).
i'm getting boring and incoherent, so bye bye, i say.
