things are looking up - or at least, luck has been temporarily on my side for the last two operative tests (albeit one was a make-up and one was just a simulation). Lady Luck will probably go away sometimes this week, before thursday, which is when i have a major 20% operative test.

i've been thinking about why i don't have a lot to write here these days. aside from doing histology drawings all the time and having this heavy overcast feeling of the sheer quantity of the amount of studying i need to do (that would dampen anyone's spirits), it's mostly because i don't go through a whole heck of a lot of suffering. sure, sure, studying is suffering and painful and intolerable most times, but it's not Suffering. or Total Embarrassment. or Sheer Mortification. or Unequalled Joy. in general, we're a pretty soft-bottomed bunch. the thought of KFC makes us happy. venturing out to church is a scary thought after a fresh fall of snow. we get afraid of bunnies that hop really fast. we eschew big spiders. we don't work out for a week and then whine and whine. we have lifelines and phone calls, on the friend, familial, governmental, and spiritual levels. i need to get out there and start fighting crime or something.

ho hum. back to studying.
