today marks another major milestone in the initiatory year of dents2006 - the end of midterms, round 2, steadily on our way toward finals, and of course, the end of our first year. sigh. this day - the start of our spring break - we marked with a celebratory - birthday and otherwise - night out at the phoenix. it was fun! i wanted to dance all night, after getting appropriately toward an upper limit of blood alcohol, and much of my class was there. i'm always surprised and happy and grateful that we can have such a good time all together. a great bunch, really.
i've been sitting here for a while - just staring - not due to alcohol influences, as you might suspect - but i think rather, i have so many thoughts i want to put down - some about school, about love, about worries, about things that make me mad and then indifferent, about nobility, about ice princesses, about cowardice, about nonchalance and aloofness, about consideration and the act of doing good things - that i can't quite order them here. i should start an anonymous blog. and i'm guessing the impetus for this can be likened to - i think, Jonathan Franzen's story about some stupid screenplay he wrote. and to get rid of it, he sent it, by post, to a random address, something ridiculous, like in the north pole or egypt, such that someone might have it in their possession, but such that it would never be fit or be publicly consumed. J.D. salinger apparently has a vault-full of literary work, never seen by other human eyes, never in print. in a morbid way, oh gosh, i' too tired. LN
