today was a nice, offbeat day. it was a nice, offbeat day because i could set my own schedule, and there were actually enough hours in the day to what i wanted to do. it was also a nice, offbeat day (not offbeat bad, but offbeat odd-quirky-cute-good) because of little things that happened during the day...i wonder if i can recount. well, first, i slept in. i neglected the beckonings of the stinky UWO gym and instead of trudging all grumpy and messy-haired to the cardio room at 7:45 am, i slept in until 9:00 am. first yay of the day! yay! and i even had these dreams thereafter where i dreamed that i woke up and did the normal things i normally do in the morning - make breakfast and put on clothes and walk to school with porage, until i actually woke up for real. my first class was genetics, followed by oral physiology, and it was a nice, offbeat morning because terminalis was telling me about joe millionaire and we got an extra-long break and we all went to get coffee and even read the paper (albeit bad news - a klubbing mishap in chicago) and then porage kept writing these little comments on my lecture notes. i guess i started it, with a big scrawl of "OINK!" on his paper, but there were these graphs of opossum and monkey readings, so i wrote that porage is a monkey and porage eats opossum (to coincide with the printed word - you get it?) and porage wrote that P.Iggy eats carrots to "stay regular"...

aaaaaaanyway. this is turning out to be a day in the life. but you see, what i'm trying to convey is that a series of little, amusing events, occurrences, or moments, really, made my day funny and, i guess, kind of grateful. i won't explain that. you figure it out. and in addition, these little occurrences...so hard to remember or even notice sometimes. you need to...make lists, once in a while. terminalis brought crispy pig all the way from toronto because porage and bighead go absolutely crazy for fried baby pig. salivate over it. and so, there they were, huddled around the garbage receptacle in the UCC (no seats! stupid place), picking pork out a styrofoam to-go. aaaaaaaahahhhhahahhahaaahahhaaa!!!! then everyone disappeared, to my slight consternation, but soon gathered my bearings and continued with my business (i found like farley mowat, or what i think farley mowat should sound like). i went to Taylor and studied, and although i was productive, i fell asleep at one point and was awakened by the loud sound of my own breathing. i think i was like, wheezing. the people around probably wanted to throttle me or kick me in the ass. i switched venues to weldon, ate my apple-raspberry sauce, saw med school guy Han and later on, met Han and porage, who i think, continuously talked about tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic tonic clubbing tonic tonic tonic promoter tonic tonic saturdat tonic tonic klub kid tonic tonic tonic blah blah blah for like EVER. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahah!!! then i worked out. and there was an abundance of hunky large football-types in the cardio room. biggest yay of the day!!!! aaaaahhhh!!!!

so. i'm at home now. i ate my noodles. porage made a good joke about the three full bottles of salt i have, and it was (the first good joke he's ever made) funny. i'm listening to nice, offbeat music, and hopefully, soon, i'll fall into an offbeat sleep.

AH! no more.
