with a humungous (sp?) load of exams coming, for some strange singular reason, i did very little studying today. maybe i participated in a group biophysics assignment, but that was interrupted by watching music videos on the LRC computers and eating sandwiches (castoffs from the lunch intended for interviewers from today's dentistry interviews) and meeting the potential dentistry class of 2007 (and looking out for hotties, of course).

it was rather a funny and enjoyable standpoint from which we meeted and greeted potential dental students today...they all exhibit the same symptoms. they come with a mom or dad (or both), the mom is usually scared to death, the dad is more relaxed, slightly nonchalant and disinterested (just supportive, let's say), they immediately want to go to the bathroom as soon as they arrive (after arriving notoriously, HOURS, early), they sit far apart from each other and stay very quiet, they won't eat even timbits (but maybe a water) until after their interview, and want to make sure that the interview is not a 6-panel judging team vs. tiny little student format...anyway, for me, it was rather funny to act as meeter and greeter and all-round nice hostess of direction and telling of where the bathroom is...it's fun sometimes to even play these stupid little roles - kind of like my dream of being a restaurant hostess or working at the keg for a little while or a flight attendant (i would LOVE to do that!)...it's all about service, baby....

hmmm....serving patients for their health needs and serving customers for their food needs...is it all the same??? i wonder.

actually, i just wanted to eat free sandwiches and free tim horton's coffee.

i am at home now. alone. with no one to share the troubles i've seen. nobody knows the trouble i've seen! nobody knows my sorrow, nobody knows the trouble i've seen, glory hallellujah! (spelling? double L's? i don't know). i had another banana galette - this time with strawberries on top too - i've been itching to taste this again, and that martha stewart pasta i've been itching to taste again too...and a yummy lemon herb chicken c/o porage. i must cushion myself with yummy food, cushion myself from the ravages of painful studying...anyway. i don't know if it's too indulgent - but if you appreciate it, it's nice to have a flavourful dish every now and then...(and a two-bite brownie every now and then) (and ice cream every now and then) (and apple pie every now and then) (and tiramisu every now and then) (and fruit flan every now and then) (and steak with bearnaise sauce every now and then) (and sushi better than stuff sold at UCC every now and then) (as you can see, the list of tasty things to eat goes on and on) (now and then, a single apple is a very delectable treat)...

oh why must i read biophysics......
