what a tiring day! and it's not even just past lunchtime. i thought i had seen the last of the microscope for a long time...sometimes i have nightmares about contaminating strains of yeast into my precious Staph aureus 6390 and 6911 strains full of good knockouts, and spending hours in clinical micro at sunnybrook doing gram stains, trying to see if burton's lab across the divide put yeast in our incubator...i thought having to inscribe with a 245 bur an intricate picture of a turkey onto the occlusal surface of a maxillary third molar was bad enough, but drawing billions of cells...might just top that! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! following dr. galil's high speed oral histo lecture today harkened back to my old U of T days, when nothing was available on the web, it was a "take notes as fast as you can and write down every detail cause he'll ask it for sure" do or die kinda thing...i think i'm gonna need more comfort food than usual...anyway, i was a little extra tired cause of a little bubble tea outing last night, which started like past my new bedtime of 4:00 pm, and exhausted my diaphragm cause i couldn't stop laughing and everything was funny (apparently i pre-drank for bubble tea) and then the white knight wouldn't start - it kinda ate the key and then wouldn't give it back unless you massaged and stroked it and talked to it and coaxed it and reset its electronic brain...forcing krista terminalis to ask a non-receptive audience at bubble king if anyone had any jumper cables...first a general question, and upon no answer and a general snub, she had to ask each table separately...(no one had cables).

but i am okay now, because i am eating my salad. it has romaine lettuce with a raspberry vinagrette, and is topped with slices of orange, raspberries, and neat little quadrilaterals of mozzarella. mmmm perfecto. ACK! i'm so tired! i'm off to bed. no more of thing being awake thing.
