happy new year, kids!

when i was in grade 8, we did this thing in Ms. Lorimer's class where you would write a nice thing about everyone in your class. It didn't take too long, there were only like 15 kids in each class. Anyway, all of my secret slips of paper said something like "You laugh a lot" or "you laugh a lot you laugh a lot you laugh a lot a lot you laugh" or "you laugh a lot you're laughing now" or, well, basil wrote something like "hot mama with hot brain!". him and cameron pulley used to call me "ellum bellum". i do remember - that i laughed about everything...

then, somehow, between high school and dental school, over the stress of things, the seriousness of things, the imagined idea that somehow the stakes were higher...ya know? had fun, but there was always this anxiousness. anyway, i don't remember it all that much.

anyway, i've laughed hard this past year. what comes to mind...like when i was taking this alginate impression of terminalis's teeth, and this stuff is gooey! and this was like our third time that day taking impressions and on the last try i got alginate ALL OVER, literally covered her face with alginate and i was being all bumbly and stupid, apologizing and terminalis was shuddering with laughter and i was trying so hard to keep that stupid tray level...or when porage kept crushing this fortune cookie from manchu wok against my head...

point being. so there. will laugh. resolution, there it is.
