eek! it's almost time to converge like rods of enamel at a cusp tip, onto London again. I spent the day with my oldest friend, from kindergarten...we took gymnastics together, she came to my house everyday from grade 1 until like, at least grade 5 maybe, we peed on ice rinks together, i peed in our ballet class, she peed in our skating lessons, we took horseback riding lessons together, we took "musical kindergym" where we learned "in a cabin, in the woods, little old man by the window stood, saw a rabbit hopping by, knocking at the door....", we authored a construction paper book in grade three with mark thurman, we did our math work and deduction problems under a table in the hall in ms. macdonald's class, we took turns wearing sheila majithia's black, fake-leather high heels in elementary school, fought, went rollerskating, almost got kidnapped, had a little falling out over robbie ireland in grade 7, made me cry once cause she wouldn't help me on our french project, i probably pissed her off a lot too...it's trange to fathom that i've known her for nearly 20 years...it's almost an anniversary! jaime, although sometimes she claims she doesn't know what she's doing, jaime has always chosen the more daring and interesting paths. out of all of our friends, she moved away the furthest for university, to vancouver. she joined a tripping club. out of all of our friends, i think she lives the furthest distance from home, post-undergrad. she's adventurous, down to earth, and a wise disregard for frivolous things (except back massages). i really respect that. and you can sense it - in her lifestyle, her attitude, the way she thinks, even her choice in clothing. we did a bit of shopping today, and here she is looking for functional, warm, fleecy tops with a respectable casual-business flair - and after we part ways for the day, here i am guiltily trying on a lavender, totally backless stay-put-by-single-string klubbing top at fashion knock-off palace zara and continuously buying boots with an ever-decreasing heel surface area...i met her long-time boyfriend danny, who hails from montreal. he's a big bear-like character, handsome, kind, and the sweetest thing about him, i think, is how affectionate he is toward my oldest friend. so, yeah, he's o.k! they live in calgary, and do geophysic-like things and look for oil with satellite dishes or something, at the present moment.

so - it's back to london on sunday. porage is like saving my life and has agreed to take up a "small" (heh heh...) bag of mine...i feel bad about leaving. mostly because my mom said she missed me in the latter part of my first term. it'll be sad to be without her quirkiness. she just delivered some peeled tangerines and grapes to me and my brother upstairs, then she screamed "I AM A MAN!!!!! AAAAHHHAHAHAAH!!!" and ran back downstairs to watch (or fall asleep to) some movie. i just shovelled our front porch, sidewalk, and driveway with my brother and, well, snow is heavy. it snowed all last night, and all day today. maybe UWO will close for an extra week.

argh. unlikely. gotta pack.
