grrrr........less than a month of school left, and 14 major exams to go. all the undergrad kids are just about done now, and the libraries are clearing out....getting less cluttered with the fear of undergrad babies, their tears, their sweat, their terror....

i wish i were in undergrad again. then i could write 5 exams, instead of 14, have 3-day school weeks, instead of 5-day 8+ hour school days + two practice nights + required library time. i could play play play and dance in the cage at the phoneix, instead of gorge on 2 coffees a day, and consistently not win anything from tim horton's, order feasts from chinese food restaurants in byron and eat in the stinky med sci basement with the other dents, and lose sleep over whether the tooth i have chosen for my endodontics practical will allow me to see the canal orifices, despite the large radiopaque spherical locule i see in the pulp chamber on the radiograph.

ahahahah we shot each other up with anaesthetic last friday. or, technically, i should say, we safely administered a supraperiosteal infiltration in the maxillary arch above the root apex of the first premolar, and administered an inferior alveolar nerve block. a good inch and a half of 25 gauge steel in your soft tissues....check out billy's site for great pics of that. surprisingly, it was rather easy, and it wasn't as nerve-wracking, despite reading about all the possible things that could go wrong. that was neat.

this week is all about fun. i'll probably do some operative tomorrow and fit in an endo as well, and oh, i have a scaling and root planing test, which will be followed by a test in removable (we're designing partial denture frameworks), as well as an evening session for our denture bellringer next week. part one of operative dentistry on wed, part 2 next week, and finally, an endo practical on thursday (8 hours long!) to end the week.
