today was movie day for me....i watched one and snuck (is that a word? how you do spell that?) into another. paid for one was something's gotta give, and free one was love, actually. and BOTH had the same underlying theme of "life is short and you should take chances and tell the person you love at the moment that you love them!!!!!" - which, is, something i wish my life mantra were, but unfortunately, i see too much of myself in diane keaton's character (down to a T! even down to the way Jack Nicholson explains her to herself, understands her). i think i could be her now, in my 30's, and in my 40's, and in my 50's. upside of that would be, at 50, i would be dating a hot young doctor named keanu reeves. ayayayyyaaaaayayayayaaaaaay!!!!! and love, actually, was about that too. all these young people, holding back about love and their feelings, about letting common sense and doubt and thoughts of "aw, man, there's no way he/she would like me" get in the way of putting yourself out there, and taking chances, even if it's not forever, and even if it means being hurt. keaton's character, in fact, thrives on the drama and well, i guess the human-ness of being hurt, and distills something from that experience to put into her literary work, as a writer/playwright (also my other dream job that i wish i could have)(i really really really want to be a writer. i feel like i am, but i'm just without a story to tell. but i know exactly HOW i would tell it). sometimes i think i will be like keaton's character. i think i even act like keaton's character.

man, does everybody have this problem? is this THEEEEE biggest problem right now, such that is it movie-worthy? or perhaps since it is movie-worthy, it is a problem and has been a problem for generations and generations...love passed by, love gained, hearts broken.

i wish i could have my heart broken. many times over is okay, even.

i'm holding out on lord of the rings and the last samurai. i don't feel like my attention span and endurance-related strength is up there yet. need....more....fluffly....sentimental....chick....flicks.....ughhhghhg......
