microbiology is in the bag! an intense 3-hours of writing writing writing...and massaging my index finger and stretching out my hands to relieve some of that oh-so-awful cramping...
2 down, 4 to go. i can't even believe i'm in the midst of all this! we've got a radiology exam tomorrow that should be a no-brainer...well, we're just starting the stuff, so it's not really that difficult yet. no grey areas, it's all short scale contrast right now. hahah that was a dental joke.
i've been incredibly tired, not because i've been cramming - i haven't been cramming, which is the funny thing - everybody calls this year the killer year (well, maybe next term), but instead, i've just been finding it so difficult to fall asleep. contemplating sleeping aids. i'm not even stressed. i think about things, but they don't occupy my thoughts. i just comfortably think about various things...and it turns into a 3 or 4-am sleep time, with a 7 am wake-up these past two days, to write these blasted exams.
i've been writing odd e-mails here and there to my brother and my mom, just for fun, telling them about my daily routines, and recently, my investment into a festive family feast from swiss chalet for myself (prepared meals for 3 days!)...and i write them haphazardly, i write them for fun, i put stupid words like "poo" and "stinky" into these light-hearted e-mails, and to my delight, my brother told me that my mom wanted him to print them out! i thought that was incredibly sweet. this just means that your actions have consequences, whether you know about them or not. i think, often in our culture, people are afraid of doing really nice things - because they'll be perceived as wanting something, as kissing ass...as having made an investment to expect a payoff from later...which is a shame. but you don't have to do that - no big gifts, no pomp, no circumstance - the simplest, subtlest, simplest things mean the most.
mariah christmas cd, here i come.
