ugh...time to go back to school. it feels all too familiar....my mom, every 10 seconds, going "do you have garlic? do you have ginger? do you need more frozen fish? do you have toilet paper? wanna take the vector cereal? can you take this whole chicken? don't you have any use for this very mysterious korean liquid you're supposed to use in soups that you never make? do you want to take more?"....and on and on, right up until leaving time, when we're fighting over what goes in my suitcase. i throw the 20 carrots (man, i just typed caries!) out and say "i can't eat that many, i won't, it's im possible" and she goes "fine take 19 carrots" and takes one out and i say "i can't that's too heavy" and we continue like that. once, i was so mad, when i was in the car, i took out like 8 frozen chicken breasts and a few oranges and told my dad to give them back to mom....it was insanely heavy! lugging heavy stuff onto trains, out of cars, off of trains, into taxis....makes me so mad sometimes i feel like crying.

so, yes, my mom is downstairs cooking up some fish for me to take. sigh....it's enough for an army. i'm so appreciative, of course, of having so much food sent with me, but during the week...when i get home late, wake up early with no inclination to go to school, it's hard to pack two square meals everyday, wisely using up all the food in my fridge. every morning it's like a decision....i either take fundamentals of (fill in the blank with TMJ disorders, operative, fixed prosthodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry....etc etc) or lunch and dinner.

anyway, it's been a relaxing weekend. some good korean new year's food, some running around malls doing errands, and i watched braveheart last night for the first time. next weekend is our montreal trip...
