uuuuuuuuuugh i'm dreading the start of school. it's been sickeningly luxurious, doing nothing but play for the last few weeks. i'm also excited, though. a little nervous. actually, i'm so excited for all the new undergrads starting university everywhere! what an exciting time! i'd love to be just starting undergrad again...going purposefully from lecture to lecture on the U of T's downtown campus, walking, pink-nosed, through the crisp air of fall. (in an outfit by prada). it must be a sign of aging, when, you yearn for something only 6 years past. i don't have any regrets about my own undergraduate experience, but there are a few things i would do differently, given that magical chance.

i'm not going back to school shopping for clothes, since the majority of the school year will be spent in greens. from 8 in the morning, till probably way past 5, so, why bother? i don't like doing laundry anyhow. in any case, the next purchase i want to make is a von furstenburg dress, and since i won't be financially viable to have that until i'm well into my 40s (or 60s, who knows), i don't think i'm going to want to see the inside of an eaton center for a long time.

it's like a renaissance; my toronto friends are all going to be back at school for one reason or another, here, in toronto, and i'm incredibly miffed that i won't be able to do the bloor st thing, or the annex thing, or the madison thing, or the duke thing, or the film festival thing, or the crispy beef thing, the coffee thing, the overeasy thing, and all those other things, at whim's notice. :(

anyway, i'm trying to manhandle a mini high school reunion dinner tomorrow, so if you're a '93 woburnite, write me.
