sometimes i choose a path knowing that it's not the most easy route i could have chosen, certainly not the most exotic, nor the most pleasurable (usually i choose what has a puritanical kind of a slant to it, no shortcuts for me thanks ;p), but something about my choice tells me that it is quite what i should do (even though i don't know why) and eventually, somehow, i know why. although that why may not have been anyone's intent or expectation. leading me to believe that living with a certain kind of - expectation - can blindside you from the seemingly minor, but majorly important, side attractions. hmmm. i've had a really good week here in london, seeing and connecting with people i hadn't expected to - and, well, my horoscope for today said that i needed to set my priorities, whatever they happened to be (even if they were perceived to be stupid) - and although i've known this for a long time - we all know this - there is nothing greater than getting to know someone, to be let into their confidence. you know, what an honor. so, if you're one of those malicious high-school-esque purveyors of exclusivity, raise your hand. and grow up.

you know what a really really good movie is? It's korean, and it's subtitled, and it's called The Way Home. it's dedicated to all korean grandmothers, and if you've got an ounce of sensitivity, you'll be able to feel the one million and one thank you's in this film. it's also not without any merit - it's nominated for such and such. anyway, i saw it and cried more openly - harder - than i had expected any movie to.

a busy, tiring week. gotta sleep for some HPLC and mass spec tomorrow...back to toronto yay!
