IT SNOWED! A LOT! big fat snowflakes, my favourite. don't like wet snow, don't like razor-sharp little snow-weapons...i love surface-area heavy, big, fat snowflakes. unfortunately, i took it upon myself to shovel the drive and the porch and stairs and sidewalk, so i thought it only fitting that i should announce my return to the neighbourhood by dressing in the most socially awkward snow-shovelling outfit. so, i tried to find the most ridiculous things to wear (this is what happens when you have a LOT of time on your christmas breaks. this is also what happens when you have been serious for far too long at school and now you can do nothing but be silly silly silly!). i found the ugliest pants alive, and they are my brothers. they are UGLY!!! then, i found another really ugly (but warm) grey sweater with pills and everything. i put on the thickest socks available. then, i had my choice of coats...i don't know why we have so many coats, but i chose another really ugly one too, complete with a hat. then, i thought that wasn't enough, so i decided to put on a scarf (not just put it on, but wrap it several times around my head and tie a huge-ass knot) that might be fun to look at if you were high (but i've never been high, i'm just speculating) - it has so many colors and i knitted it during my brief, but memorable colorblind period. i thought about how i didn't want to wear my cristal-coated glasses out in that harsh winter (well, the snowflakes were big and fat, but it was starting to get that slushy consistency), so i thought i should probably pull out my headband from my elementary school skiing days, and my fluorescent green ski goggles, and like that, i went outside. i almost put on my lab safety glasses instead, but i wanted that seal around my eyes. i laughed so hard at myself i couldn't even shovel snow for the first 5 minutes! got myself composed, and started shovelling snow. i'm not sure that my neighbours noticed, even though they were outside too (probably, hey were envious of my green goggles). but i like to think i was a good roadside attraction today. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhahahahha!!!!

food shopping now. ya ya ya ya! this is the time i get to trump all of my mother's purchses. ("how about mozzarella?" "um, that's good, but how about double cream brie?" and on and on we go....)

can't wait to get back to rad interps.
